Das Bild stellt eine visuelle Version einer musikalischen Skizze dar, in der die einzelnen Elemente für Klangfarben, Töne oder Pausen stehen können und das Bild als eine Art Partitur erscheinen lässt. Ausgangspunkt ist die Schallplatte (Kreis) mit Hülle (Quadrat), die als ursprünglichstes Medium Musik verfügbar macht und als festgelegter Formenschatz der Arbeit dient. Die einzelnen Teile sind mit Nägeln an der Wand angebracht, wodurch die Setzung des Bildes eine temporäre, nicht-endgültige Dimension erhält und an Noten erinnert. Das Bild lässt neue Kombinationen offen und entfernt sich durch seine modulare Textur von einer Malerei hin zum fließenden, unverfügbaren Charakter von Musik. Der Titel erinnert dabei an den prozesshaften Charakter des "Songwritings" und steht mit seiner Veränderbarkeit der Endgültigkeit einer auf Vinyl gepressten Version eines Musikstücks gegenüber.

The work represents a visual version of a musical sketch in which each element can represent timbres, tones or pauses, making the image appear as a kind of musical score. The starting point is the record (circle) with a cover (square), which is the most original medium that makes music available and serves as a fixed esemble of forms for the work. The parts are attached to the wall with nails, which gives the setting a temporary, non-final dimension and is reminiscent of musical notes. The picture leaves new combinations open and, thanks to its modular texture, moves away from a painting towards the flowing, unavailable character of music. The title is reminiscent of the processual nature of "songwriting" and, with its changeability, contrasts with the finality of a song pressed on vinyl.
