"Vortex": Installation, Maße: ca. 3 x 3 m, Material: junge Birken, Schrauben, Wald, Luft und Licht

Vortex und White Vortex sind vergängliche Arbeiten in und mit der Natur. Vortex ist im Wald Finnlands aus jungen Birken entstanden, White Vortex in meinem Heimatort, aus Schnee. Der Fokus liegt auf der Umgebung, Materialität und dem Prozess. Die Form der Spirale strahlt durch Dynamik Energie aus. Die Linien der Birken, die von unten nach oben führen, machen Bewegung sichtbar. Vortex besteht aus sterbenden Birken, sie ist nicht nur eine Wertschätzung der Natur, es ist eine Hommage an das Leben, dem der Tod innewohnt. Vergehen, Werden, Stillstand und Aufbruch in einem. Urformen der Natur fließen zusammen, bilden Fließrichtungen. Linien formen sich zu Strukturen. Bilden eine Verbindung zwischen Abstraktion u. Gegenständlichkeit. Vortex lässt Freiräume, durchdrungen von Luft und Licht. Sie verschmilzt mit ihrer Umgebung. Der junge Nadelbaum in ihrer Mitte unterstreicht Zusammenwachsen. Vereint Werden und Vergehen. Eine Hommage an Wasser, Wind, Feuer und Erde.

Vortex and White Vortex are ephemeral works in and with nature. Vortex was created in the forest of Finland from young birch trees, White Vortex in my hometown from snow. The focus of the work is on the environment, the materiality and the process. The shape of the vortex, the spiral, radiates energy through dynamics. Movement becomes visible through the lines of the birch trees that run from bottom to top. The work is made from dying birch trees, it is not just an appreciation of nature, it is a tribute to life in which death is inherent. Decay, becoming, standstill and departure all in one. Original forms of nature flow together, forming flow directions. Lines form into structures. Condense, loosen up. Form a connection between abstraction and representation. Vortex leaves open spaces, permeated by air and light, it merges with its surroundings. The young conifer in the middle underlines growing together. Becoming united and passing away. A tribute to water, wind, fire and earth.
