Freies Projekt

Das Projekt ist sowohl das Ergebnis als auch der Zwischenstand eines bisher zweijährigen Prozesses auf dem Mfg5-Gelände in Kiel. Mit Hilfe von kollektiven Aneignungsstrategien haben wir den Raum auf unterschiedliche Weise erprobt und bespielt. Die Stadt Kiel möchte auf diesem Gelände ein "neues Stück Kiel" entwickeln. In dem Projekt hinterfragen wir bestehende Narrative in Planungsstrukturen und testen, welche Bedeutung Experimente und kollektive Praktiken vor Ort haben können. In verschiedenen Formaten, wie dem gemeinsamen Essen, Cross-Golf spielen und durch performative Raumbesetzungen laden wir Menschen ein, Teil unseres Prozesses zu werden, den Raum neu zu denken, zu gestalten und vorhandene Potenziale freizulegen. Indem wir im Raum aktiv werden, entstehen Synergien, die zu neuen Handlungssträngen führen können und neue, lebendige Stadträume schaffen.

The project is both the result and the interim result of a two-year process on the Mfg5 site in Kiel. With the help of collective appropriation strategies, we have tested and used the space in different ways. The city of Kiel wants to develop a new urban district on this site. In the project, we question existing narratives in planning structures and test what meaning experiments and collective practices can have on site. In various formats, such as eating together, playing cross-golf and through performative occupations of the space, we invite people to become part of our process, to rethink and redesign the space and to uncover existing potential. By becoming active in the space, we create synergies that can lead to new lines of action and create new, vibrant urban spaces.
