Installation im Stadtraum

„Alexandraplatz" ist eine audiovisuelle Installation im Kieler Stadtraum, inspiriert von der Neugier und Faszination für die Komplexität von Orten, die unsere tägliche Umgebung bilden. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, die Geschichte des Alexandraplatzes und seiner Umgebung sichtbar zu machen, indem es die scheinbare Kluft zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart überbrückt. Durch das Zusammenspiel von Klang, Körper, Geist und Raum tauchen die Besuchenden in eine multisensorische Erfahrung ein. Dabei wird zum Nachdenken über die Auswirkungen der Geschichte angeregt und die Bedeutung kollektiven Handelns sowie die Bewahrung des Widerhalls der Vergangenheit betont, um unser Handeln in der Gegenwart und darüber hinaus zu informieren und zu inspirieren. Das Projekt wurde durch die Analyse von Cardiff & Millers „Alter Bahnhof Video Walk" sowie mit theoretischen Konzepten wie die des „perceptual binding" sowie die der „Technik als Erweiterung des Körpers” entwickelt.

Installation in urban space

"Alexandraplatz" is an audiovisual installation in the urban space of Kiel, born out of curiosity and fascination for the complexity of places that make up our daily environment. The project aims to make the history of Alexanderplatz and its surroundings visible by bridging the apparent gap between past and present. Through the interplay of sound, body, mind and space, the audience is immersed in a multi-sensory experience. In doing so, it encourages reflection on the impact of history and emphasizes the importance of collective action and preserving the reverberations of the past to inform and inspire our actions in the present and beyond. The project was developed by analyzing Cardiff & Miller's "Alter Bahnhof Video Walk" and theoretical concepts such as "perceptual binding" as well as "technology as an extension of the body".
