Die Arbeit ,Massiv filigran` ist das Ergebnis einer einwöchigen Auseinandersetzung im Rahmen des Projektraumes mit dem Material Papier. Dabei stand die experimentelle Suche, nach einer ambivalenten Darstellung des Materials, im Fokus. Während der Entwicklung wurden verschiedene Methoden erprobt, um die weich geschnittenen Papierbahnen zugleich schwer, stabil und eigenständig, als auch weich, leicht und filigran wirken zu lassen. Die pure Materialwahl findet sich auch in der Umsetzung wieder. Um die Leichtigkeit zu erhalten, sind die Papierbahnen ineinander gelegt, umwickelt und nur punktuell verklebt. Daraus entwickelte sich eine raumgreifende Installation, die den Raum füllt, die Betrachter*innen überragt und zugleich einlädt, sich mit Bedacht um und unter dem Objekt zu bewegen.

The work "Massiv filigran" is the result of a week-long discussion of the material paper in the project space. The focus was on the experimental search for an ambivalent representation of the material. During the development, different methods were tested to make the soft cut paper webs look both heavy, stable and self-contained, as well as soft, light and delicate. The pure choice of materials is also reflected in the implementation. In order to maintain the lightness, the paper webs are placed in each other, wrapped and glued only punctually. The result was a spatially expansive installation that fills the space, surpasses the viewers and at the same time invites them to deliberately move around and under the object.
