Beim Kunst am Bau Wettbewerb für den Neubau ministerielle Nutzung (zuvor: Neubau Bundesfinanzministerium) auf dem Postblockareal Nord in Berlin erreichte die Arbeit "Zusammenhalt" im Bereich Besucherzentrum den ersten Platz mit einer Realisierungsempfehlung. Das Bild eines geschlossenen Sicherungsgurts veranschaulicht ein System, das Schwankungen ausgleichen, sichern und stabilisieren kann und macht die Begriffe Zusammenhalt und Stabilität plastisch. Die Gurte reagieren mit ihrer Position auf die Schichtungen des Materials vor der Wand. Stampfbeton, der durch Druck verdichtet wird, steht in Bezug zur Funktion des Gurtsystems, das durch Spannung Druck auf die zu sichernden Waren ausübt. Material, Handlung und Form greifen ineinander. Die Illusion mehrerer Stapel, die als ein Block in der Wand liegen und mit dieser optisch verzurrt werden, integriert den architektonischen Raum in die Arbeit.

In the public art (Kunst am Bau) competition for the new ministerial building (previously: new Federal Ministry of Finance building) on the Postblockareal Nord in Berlin, the work "Zusammenhalt" (Cohesion) won first place in the visitor center section with a recommendation for implementation. The image of a closed safety belt illustrates a system that can balance, secure, and stabilize fluctuations, making the concepts of cohesion and stability tangible. The belts react with their position to the layers of material in front of the wall. Rammed concrete, which is compacted by pressure, corresponds to the function of the belt system, which applies pressure to the goods to be secured through tension. Material, action, and form intertwine. The illusion of several stacks lying as one block in the wall and visually lashed to it integrates the architectural space into the work.
