Carolin Ott setzt sich seit 2019 mit dem Thema invasiver Arten skulptural auseinander. In ihrer Arbeit werden bekannte Taxonomien zwischen pflanzlichen und tierischen Körperlichkeiten in ein ambivalentes Verhältnis gesetzt. Das Sammeln von naturwissenschaftlichen Informationen über botanische Grundformen und zoologische Bauplänen lässt neue Formenfragmente der Natur entstehen. Basierend auf diesem Thema entsteht aus keramischen und gläsernen Skulpturen eine neue Biozönose. Die wachsenden Formate, die während des Masters entstanden sind, sollen mit ihrer Größe ausufernd und übergreifend sein. Invasiv, um einem Menschen gegenübertreten zu können. Carolin Ott has been dealing with the topic of invasive species sculpturally since 2019. In her work, well-known taxonomies between plant and animal physicalities are placed in an ambivalent relationship. The collection of scientific information about basic botanical forms and zoological blueprints creates new fragments of nature's forms. Based on this theme, a new biocenosis is emerging from ceramic and glass sculptures.
