Die Installation entstand im Zuge der Ausstellung "Introspektion" und ist ein Versuch der Visualisierung von Erinnerungen und deren Einfluss auf den Moment. Als zentrales Motiv dient dabei das Wasser und dessen Rauschen als Metapher für verschwimmende, aber gleichzeitig auch allgegenwärtige Erinnerungen. Die hängenden Elemente werden durch äußere Einflüsse, wie z.B. das Umhergehen der Betrachtenden, in Bewegung versetzt. Die Fotos auf diesen Elementen stellen Ausschnitte aus undefinierten Momenten dar und wurden analog mit Wasser manipuliert, wodurch Teile des Bildes unklar werden. Die Spiegelfolie auf der Rückseite regt Betrachtende einerseits zu einer Reflexion des Gesehenen und der eigenen Rolle in der Installation/ Erinnerung an. Andererseits werden dadurch Reflexionen des projizierten Videos in den Raum geworfen. Das Zusammenspiel aller Ebenen und Elemente bzw. alter und neuer Erinnerungen mit dem Moment führt zu einer Brechung der Chronologie.

The installation was realized for the exhibition "Introspektion" and is an attempt at visualizing memories and their influence on the present moment. Rushing water is used as the main motif and metaphor for memories to display the blurring of memories on the one hand, but also their ubiquity on the other hand. The movement of the hanging elements is influenced by surrounding factors like the movement of viewers. The photos on those elements show excerpts of undefined moments and were manipulated with water, which results in some parts of the pictures being obscure. The mirror foil on the back invites viewers to reflect on the visuals and their part in the exhibition. Additionally, it reflects and disperses parts of the video and fills the room with these memories. Consequently, this effect in combination with the photos and multi-layered video leads to a break of chronology - excerpts of old and recent memories come together with the present moment and constitute a fleeting reality.
