Ich bin in Moskau aufgewachsen und zum Studium nach Deutschland gekommen. Den Ausbruch des Krieges habe ich während eines Besuchs bei der Mutter in Russland erlebt. Ich habe mein Land verlassen und werde wahrscheinlich für lange Zeit nicht dorthin zurückkehren. Ich habe erlebt, wie schwierig, oft unmöglich, das Sprechen über den Krieg und die Repression im Land geworden ist. Der Riss geht quer durch die Familien. In meiner Animation habe ich versucht, Bilder für die Gewalt, das Verstummen und die Hoffnungslosigkeit der Situation zu finden.

I grew up in Moscow and came to Germany to study. I experienced the outbreak of the war while visiting my mother in Russia. I left my country and probably won't return there for a long time. I have experienced how difficult, often impossible, it has become to talk about the war and repression in the country. The rift cuts across families. In my animation I tried to find images for the violence, the silence and the hopelessness of the situation.
