HomeStory soll ein Ort sein, an dem Betroffene nicht nur eine Unterkunft finden, sondern einen Neuanfang wagen können. Das Konzept wurde inhaltlich von Gemeinschaftswohnmodellen und dem Housing-First-Prinzip inspiriert, bei dem eigenständiges Wohnen und ein selbstbestimmtes Leben an erster Stelle steht. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass komplexe Probleme nur dann gelöst werden, wenn das Grundbedürfnis nach gesichertem Wohnen erfüllt ist. Um eine erfolgreiche Integration in die Gesellschaft zu ermöglichen, gibt es ein umfangreiches Unterstützungssystem, bestehend aus Bildungs- und Arbeitsmöglichkeiten, Sozialarbeitern und Beratern, zahlreiche Gemeinschaftsräume- und Gärten, sowie Angebote zur Nachbarschaftsintegration. Die 16 Einheiten sind für je ein bis zwei Personen ausgelegt und mit eigener Küche und Badezimmer ausgestattet. Durch die Bereitstellung von eigenem Wohnraum soll die Chance auf eine soziale Inklusion und die Verbesserung ihrer gesundheitlichen Situation hergestellt werden.

BA project; a housing concept for homeless people with the aim of reintegration

HomeStory is a place where homeless people can not only find a place to sleep but also get a chance to start over. The concept was inspired by the Housing First principle, in which independent living and a self-determined life is the most important. To ensure a successful integration into society we work with an extensive support system, consisting of educational opportunities, social workers and advisors, numerous common rooms and gardens. The 16 units are designed to host one to two people each and are equipped with an own kitchen and bathroom. The goal is to create an opportunity for social inclusion and to improve their health situation by providing people with their own living space.
